  • RISE Crisis Team: Service for children and young people under 17 who are experiencing a mental health crisis. Call: 08081 966798 (select Option 2) This freephone line is available 24-hours a day, 7-days a week, but with an advice-only service outside the core hours of 8am-8pm.

**If you believe that you are with someone who is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk call  or text 999. Call 111 when it's less urgent than 999.**

 

  • SHOUT Crisis Messenger: Text the SHOUT Crisis Messenger, for free 24/7 support across the UK if you are experiencing a mental health crisis. If you need urgent help text SHOUT to 85258All texts are answered by trained volunteers, with support from experienced clinical supervisors.

Texts are free from EE, O2, Vodafone, 3, Virgin Mobile, BT Mobile, GiffGaff, Tesco Mobile and Telecom Plus.

  • Calm Harm App: App that provides children and young people with support and alternatives to self-harm. https://calmharm.co.uk/
  • Childline: Providing help and advice about a wide range of issues impacting children and young people. Can be accessed via  0800 1111 or via their website childline.org.uk where you can talk to a counsellor online, send Childline an email or post on the message boards.
  • Early Help Service: Family-based support and intervention.  Further information including information for referrers can via www.coventry.gov.uk/earlyhelp
  • Recovery Academy: Free courses and workshops designed to empower the mental health and wellbeing of children, young people and adults living in Coventry and Warwickshire.  https://www.recoveryandwellbeing.co.uk/
  • RISE Service: Rise is Coventry and Warwickshire's CAHMS service. It is a family of NHS-led services providing emotional wellbeing and mental health services for children and young people in Coventry and Warwickshire. Further information can be accessed via https://cwrise.com

 

  • Young Minds: The Young Minds website has lots of information about the mental health of children and young people, why it is so important, how to keep mentally healthy and what you can do if you are struggling. www.youngminds.org.uk

The School Nursing Team is available to the parents in case you wish to ask questions and this can be done via parent line, if you TEXT in on 07507 329 114. Then someone from the School Nursing Team will call you back.
