Autumn Stories

We have started talking about the signs of autumn that we can see and exploring some autumn treasures in class. We would love to add your autumn treasures to our collection or you could send a photo to the Nursery email address of any signs of autumn that you have spotted when you are out and about or any autumn celebrations, like Halloween or Bonfire Night that you take part in.

Rod Campbell Stories

We have been sharing Rod Campbell lift the flap stories with the children, encouraging them to predict what may be hiding under the flap and to have a go at joining in with some of the repeating phrases. Reading familiar stories frequently is very valuable for children this age and is something that we will be doing thorough this year. It has been great to see the children starting to join in with some of the repeating phrases and looking at the books independently already.
